I am really having a fun time adding colored pencil to my SMUDGE works! I feel it's giving my work more detail and definition. It also seems to pull things together well. I may go this route for a while with my work. This piece is showing in Reno, NV at the Reno Artists Coop during the Latimer Art Club's 100 year Anniversary show. If you are anywhere near Reno, stop on in. Show is taking place from April 1st through the 30th. I will be there on Sunday, April 18th. 12noon - 4pm. Come on by and Celebrate with me and the other fabulous, talented and inspiring members of the club! Masks Required!

I created this piece in color and was not happy with the colors I had chosen and decided to place it in my Photo program of my Apple computer and create a black and white image. I really like the black and white image best. There is always more to do with a "Smudge!" Give it a try!
May your holidays be Merry and Bright! To create this simple image in a "smudge" all you need to work with is a negative rectangle, and a negative teardrop shape. After I created the image I scanned it and printed it out on my computer and took a favorite silver pen and created the lines and squiggles. Imagine what you can do with these 2 simple shapes. Give it a try! Smudging is fun!
Merry Christmas Everyone! This piece created was scanned onto the computer and printed out in color. I took my Silver Ink pen and drew circles, pattern's and lines on top of the ornaments, added dots in the air space and now sharing it with you. Enjoy a fabulous Holiday season! Peace, Health and Prosperity!
A School of Fish was created on a gray speckled paper. It is fun to work with colored paper sometimes. Give it a try on your favorite colored paper, and send it my way to post and share! The line in the middle is because I was making 2 separate images to create book marks for my Fish friends.
