Look at the fabulous work that the students came up with during our 2nd session together. Students worked with a pre-drawn template of a fan tail hawk and a template of the shapes of a mountain, pine tree, and sun. I always let my students choose their own favorite colors to work in and I give them ideas about composition, discussing foreground, middle ground, and background. There is also the directional flow that is really important to consider when working with a smudge. The more "Smudging" one does the better one gets. Like anything else we do in life. If you never give up, you never fail! This is what we created in the 1st Session of our May 2023 "Older American's Month" FREE ART Classes. All students were given the same template pattern and came up with their own color combinations and creations. It is exciting for me to see the variations in "smudge" styles and compositions. I am learning as much as my students what it is to LOVE a SMUDGE!This is the happy group that met in May 2023 "Older American's Month" FREE ART Classes funded in part by the Nevada Arts Council & the National Endowment for the Arts. Great fun Ladies. Thank you for joining me on this journey of creating Art with a Smudge! Let's get together again soon!Celebrating "Older Americans Month"
