Blending and "SMUDGING" with Oil Pastels is easy

This next video is one of the 1st I created and is an introduction
​to the variety of images one is able to create with a "SMUDGE!"

The Oil Pastel Landscapes video below shows all work done in the same four colors of pastel.

Students who have taken my classes can understand how each and every one of these pieces were made.   What is exciting is "Smudgers" talk the same language:  Templates and blending, positive and negative, and the noticing of differences in color combinations.  Look on...to see some of the many beautiful landscapes I created in this unique, and innovative style of creating art with oil pastels.  

In 2013 I was juried into the Reno, NV  "City ART Blast!" and later in 2018 held a Solo Show
at the McKinley Art Center,  ​The City of Reno Arts and Culture Gallery.  

The next video was produced by the marketing department of the City of Reno, during the Reno City ART Blast, taped on the day of the event.  At the end of the event I was presented with a check for their "Juror's Choice Award for Best Booth Display"

Receiving the award truly makes all of my hard work and effort worth it.
