This piece, El Capitan of Yosemite Valley in CA been entered into the Latimer Art Club Exhibit and Sale taking place now until the end of July during ARTOWN in Reno, NV at the Wilbur May Museum. I had the wonderful opportunity a few years back to be hired as an Artist-in-Residence to teach art classes at Yosemite, a magical natural wonderland and state park. This image is taken from a photograph. I added the magnificent clouds all created in the Oil Pastel Smudge technique! If you have the opportunity to visit Yosemite, take it! A most fabulous spot on our planet!

In this piece I am working with the play of warm and cool colors! Working with both makes your work vibrate with brightness and light! Give it a try! I am so thankful Spring is here!
Your interest and support of the technique I have shared has grown and developed into what it is today only because of You. You are my Angels! Truly, Carol Foldvary-Anderson
For all of you Smudgers this is an easy one to create. Simply cut out a leaf pattern and place it in position like a clock. One at 12, 3, 6 and 9 position. Then create another leaf pattern and go in between those positions and continue round and round. Also if you notice I put a white border using the edge. Give that one a try. Happy Fall!
This is an image I created of Cathedral Gorge in southern Nevada while on a camping trip with friends. As you can tell in the photo I also like rocks. I am an avid Rock Hound as well!
For all of you knowledgable "Smudgers" you know it took only 2 templates to create this piece. The stars can be used again and again for Christmas holiday imagery, the 4th of July and also for that Star person who is celebrating their Birthday. The possibilities are truly endless! Smudge on my friends!
