Look at the fabulous work that the students came up with during our 2nd session together. Students worked with a pre-drawn template of a fan tail hawk and a template of the shapes of a mountain, pine tree, and sun. I always let my students choose their own favorite colors to work in and I give them ideas about composition, discussing foreground, middle ground, and background. There is also the directional flow that is really important to consider when working with a smudge. The more "Smudging" one does the better one gets. Like anything else we do in life. If you never give up, you never fail!
